If you unfortunately forgot your password and failed to unlock your iPhone for a couple of times, your iPhone might be disabled. You will be asked to wait for a while to try again. But what if you cannot remember the password even hours later or you just cannot be patient to wait. Here I would like to share three different solutions for the unlocking.

Solution 1: Restore your iPhone through iTunes

Step 1: Launch your iTunes on your computer, if there is update available, please update at first.

Step 2: Connect your iPhone to your computer, click the icon for your iPhone after it is detected by your iTunes.

Step 3: Click Back up Now on the interface of iTunes.

Step 4: Click Restore iPhone after the syncing finishes. And your iPhone will be restored to factory settings.

Step 5: You can choose to set up your iPhone as new or restore from a previous backup file.

Solution 2: Restore your iPhone from iCloud

Step 1: Sign in your iCloud with your Apple ID on your computer.

Step 2: Click “Find My iPhone”.

Step 3: iCloud will therefore locate your iPhone. Choose “Erase iPhone” and thus the disabled situation will be unlocked.

Note: You can only do so when you switched on “Find My iPhone” and your iPhone is wifi connected.

Step 4: Follow onscreen instructions to erase all content and settings and then setup your iPhone as new or use a previous iCloud backup file.

Solution 3: Restore through Recovery Mode

What if you don't have old back and didn't synced your device previously. We need to turn to Recovery Mode for help.

Step 1: Turn the device off by holding the power button and sliding off.

Step 2: Connect to iTunes.

Step 3: Hold both home button and power button until the screen lights up.

Step 4: Once the screen lights up, release the power button and keep the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” appears.

Step 5: Release the home button after you see iTunes icon.

Step 6: Now you will see message says that ( iTunes Has Detected An iPhone In Recovery Mode ) Once you click OK to agree that message and the next step hit restore button again , at this time the process of getting last backup and running . Unfortunately with this message the data on the device will be lost and there is no way to preserve.
