As we all know, iCloud provides 5GB free storage space, and the photos and videos take up most of the space. So people may wonder, was it possible to move the iCloud Photo library to my PC and save the storage space if you don’t have the plan to upgrade your storage plan. You can delete a photo or video from your Photos app, and in that way photos will also removed from iCloud Photo Library and from your iCloud storage allocation. Photos and videos you remove can be recovered from the Recently Deleted album for 30 days. After 30 days, your content will be removed from the Recently Deleted album. In case that you want to recover the photos you have deleted from iCloud backup and you had forgotten about the 30 days limit, I strongly suggest you to have a physical backup on your PC.
iCloud backup itself does not allow you selectively to transfer the photos to your PC. So you need some third party software to extract all the photos from the iCloud backup file and transfer to your PC. iFonebox is an application of this kind, which can extract photos and even deleted photos from IOS devices, iTunes backup file and iCloud backup file.

Step1: Launch the iFonebox and choose the Recovery Mode
Install the full version of iFonebox and then you will be presented with an interface allowing you choose the recovery mode. Click to choose Recover from iCloud Backup and sign in iCloud with an Apple ID.
Step2: Download Backup file
And then you will see a list of iCloud backup file, check the button of “Download” beside the backup file you would like to extract photos from.
Step3: Backup File Downloading
Check the boxes to choose which file you would like to download from iCloud. The downloading file may take quite a long time, please wait in patience.
Step4: Preview and Transfer to PC
After the backup file downloading, choose photos to recover by clicking the icon of photos. And then you can select the photos you want to recover and transfer to your PC.
