As professional data recovery software, iFonebox is capable of recovering various kinds of data including contacts, notes, messages, messages attachments, whatsapp, whatsapp attachments, reminders, voice memos, safari bookmarks, and photos etc from iPhone ,iPad or iPod Touch as well as from iTunes/iCloud backup file.
You can firstly download the trial version to have a try for free but you need to pay for the full version if you want to retrieve your whatsapp messages successfully when your iPhone gets stolen.
If you have created iTunes backup file for your iPhone, you can choose to retrieve the whatsapp messages from the iTunes backup. Here in this guide I am going to show you how to retrieve your whatsapp messages from your iCloud backup, provided that you have created a backup to your iCloud account before your iPhone gets stolen.
Step 1: Install and run the full version of iFonebox. Choose the recovery mode of “Recover from iCloud Backup”. Then you will be asked to sign in with your apple ID.

Step 2: Choose an iCloud backup file from the list to download. The most recent one is recommended.

Step 3: Choose what kind of data you want to download from the iCloud backup file. If you want the wahtsapp messages back only, just check the box of “whatsapp”, and “whatsapp attachments” if you want. Or you can check “Recover All” to download all the supported data types from iCloud backup.

Step 4: Choose whatsapp messages to recover by clicking on the icon for whatsapp messages.

Step 5: Preview all the exported whatsapp messages before transferring them to your computer.

If you can't get the iPhone back, or it's taking too long, you may want to delete the phone's data. You can do this over the web using iCloud or some of the other tracking apps. Deleting data won't prevent the thief from using your iPhone, but at least they won't have access to your personal data after that.
Alternatively, you can use iCloud to set a passcode on your iPhone over the Internet, which will lock the thief out of your iPhone entirely. If you do that, you don't necessarily need to delete your data.
